Since 2009, CTU has turned to Linhart PR to help share these student successes and how CTU faculty and programs are supporting their professional goals. The business purpose: Share real people and real outcomes of CTU degree programs to inspire others to consider online or ground campus opportunities.


Pulling from our strengths in storytelling, Linhart PR created a proactive media “news bureau” of student and graduate success stories. We worked with faculty and staff to identify and interview “academic shining stars” from the more than 70,000 CTU alumni who were willing to share how their CTU education helped them accomplish great things in their careers. For other achievements—such as industry or academic awards or honors—the team created a streamlined process: ask students to fill out a “Hometown Achievement Form” which would then be used to develop a press release or media pitch distributed to that student’s hometown paper.


Through proactively identifying and promoting student stories, along with responding to media seeking human interest stories related to online education and certain degree programs, Linhart PR has generated a steady drumbeat of coverage for CTU and its students and graduates, while complementing other visibility and lead-generating activities. Highlights:

  • Media placements about CTU students and graduates secured nearly every month for the last five years, earning 181 million+ media impressions
  • Student/graduate success news coverage in more than 150 media outlets of all mediums—magazines, newspapers, TV and radio including: National Public Radio, The Denver Post, The Kansas City Star, Las Vegas Review Journal, The Atlanta Journal Constitution, and more
