Linhart Public Relations, like many organizations, was built on a set of core values. Since 1996 when Sharon Linhart opened the doors to Linhart PR, those values served as the foundation for our work, both together as a team and with our clients.
In 2011, our 15th anniversary year, we reflected on the decisions, investments, leaps of faith, good fortune and people that helped us reach that business milestone. We also asked ourselves where we want to go and grow over the next 15 years, and what it’s going to take get there. Among other things, this important question led us to revisit our firm’s existing values statements that help define our culture.
We presented the values that Sharon developed and put into place all those years ago to team members at all levels and asked them this: “Do these values accurately reflect your experience at Linhart PR? Are they authentic and real to you?”
Our team answered, “Yes,” and shared they were most inspired by our values related to families being a priority, work-life balance, client service and teamwork. They also recommended some minor, but important changes to make our values an even better reflection of our culture.
This month, to kick off our 16th year, we rolled out our revised value statements to the team – values they helped shape. Each team member has a copy of the values to hang in his or her workspace as a reminder of what we’re all responsible for living each day in our words and actions. Below are our 11 core values at Linhart PR. What values are most important to you in your workplace, and how are you putting them into action?
