Tis the season for ice skating! It’s been just four weeks since the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park reopened and, last night, the Rink welcomed the 10,000th skater!
If you haven’t laced up your skates at the Southwest Rink at Skyline Park this winter, now is the time – temperatures are expected to be in the 50s this weekend! The Rink is located at 16th and Arapahoe next to Denver’s iconic D&F Tower. Skating at the Rink is FREE and rentals are just $2 if you don’t have your own skates.
The Rink offers tons of entertainment for all ages – a DJ every Friday night, a live band every Saturday night, free Learn to Skate sessions on Saturday mornings and kids can skate for free on Sundays. Starting next week, watch movies while you skate – holiday favorites like The Year Without Santa Claus and How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original) will be played at the Rink.
Need a break from all that skating – head over to the Southwest Porch at Skyline park for an adult beverage, hot chocolate and even an oven-fired pizza from Brava! Pizza. YUM.
