DENVER, Colo., March 12, 2012 – Linhart Public Relations, a national public relations, digital media and corporate communications counseling firm based in Colorado, is doubling its downtown Denver office space to accommodate growth.
The firm signed a long-term lease with Kew Realty Corporation for 17,914 sq. ft. – the entire second and third floors – in the historic Baur’s Building, 1514 Curtis St. The 30-person Linhart PR team currently occupies the 9,698 sq. ft. second floor of the building, where it moved in 2006. With the new lease, Linhart PR will occupy both the second and third floors of the building, which was built in 1881 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and Colorado State Register of Historic Places. The building was once home to Baur’s Candy Co., which made and sold candy, and claimed to have scooped the first ice cream soda.
The third floor renovations are expected to be complete in April. The architect is Art Hoy of AH Architecture, who also designed the second floor space, which retains the original building’s exposed brick walls and timber ceilings.
“Linhart PR’s new third floor will convey a complementary look and feel to the second floor, with bright colors and an open design plan that inspires creativity, while also invoking a warmth that will be inviting to visitors,” said Hoy, president of AH Architecture. “We’re maximizing natural light within the space and connection to an outdoor patio on the third floor, elements the Linhart staff is excited about.”
“This expansion represents the growing need for our team’s public relations services and counsel from clients nationwide, as well as our commitment to the downtown Denver business community,” said Sharon H. Linhart, APR, managing partner and founder of Linhart PR. “Our office is a reflection of our culture, and we’re proud to provide a vibrant workspace for our people to do their best work on behalf of clients.”
In the past year, Linhart PR has added seven team members to serve a variety of new clients, including Celestial Seasonings, Good Works Group and the Beforeplay.org campaign, Mountain States Employers Council and The Steadman Clinic. In addition, in 2011, the firm launched its Linhart Digital practice to develop and implement online communication strategies for clients.
The firm, which was founded in 1996, has also been recognized both locally and nationally for its workplace best practices and business success, including being named to the 2011 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.
