Senior Account Executive

One of the most respected communications strategy and engagement firms in the Rocky Mountain West is looking for a talented public relations professional to join our team. Linhart Public Relations seeks a senior account executive to support our current clients and expected growth in consumer, corporate and B2B public relations, while helping to manage and mentor junior staff. This is a highly responsible client-facing role that will make critical contributions to delivering client results, value and business impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead development and implementation of strategic communications plans and budgets to achieve client brand and business goals, working collaboratively with account supervisors but without needing extensive direction or oversight
  • Provide thoughtful insights and creative thinking to help enhance client satisfaction, retention and relationships
  • Ensure a smooth, efficient experience for clients and our team by applying strong project management and problem-solving skills to the work we are doing
  • Oversee development and implementation of content marketing programs for clients, ensuring our writing is clear, concise and persuasive: messages; media materials; bylined articles and white papers; blog, web and social content; presentations; and executive and employee communications
  • Oversee the delivery of earned media coverage results by identifying appropriate media targets; creating compelling story offers; building relationships with editors, reporters and producers; maintaining a steady tempo of touchpoints to put client stories in the news; and helping to ensure client spokespersons are prepared for effective media interviews
  • Supervise the management and monitoring of social media channels and other digital properties, including blogs, websites and online stakeholder engagement platforms
  • Interact with clients, manage projects and budgets, and track and report program results

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, media, journalism or related field
  • At least four to five years of professional experience; prior PR firm experience required
  • Ability to serve as a leader, mentor, coach and motivator for junior staff
  • Logical thinker who can absorb and analyze information and gain a working understanding of clients’ business and competitive landscapes quickly
  • Demonstrate outstanding written and oral communications ability (including familiarity with AP Style) and strong listening and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic communications plans based on a clear understanding of client business environments and objectives
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and manage multiple projects at one time

Account Supervisor

One of the most respected communications strategy and engagement firms in the Rocky Mountain West is looking for a talented public relations professional to join our team. Linhart Public Relations seeks an experienced account supervisor to help guide the delivery of superior insights, results and value to clients in the restaurant, food, nutrition; energy and utilities; and healthcare sectors and related consumer marketing segments. This is a highly responsible client-facing role; in addition, the successful candidate will join our management team and help set the direction for our firm.

What You'll Do

  • Own and elevate the strategic communications planning and creative process for three to five clients
  • Provide hands-on supervision of our team in implementing media relations, influencer marketing, digital media, content development and thought leadership plans for our clients, to ensure the delivery of results, value and business impact
  • Develop and sell in budgets, scopes of work and timelines for clients; manage client program delivery to ensure we stay on time and on budget
  • Support clients who are managing issues and crises
  • Act as a mentor to direct report(s) and other team members; lead by example, bring a problem-solving approach and help team members enhance their PR and client relationship skills
  • Take responsibility for leading key client relationships, understanding clients and their respective categories, and ensuring long-term client satisfaction and retention

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in communications, media, journalism or related field
  • Five to seven years of professional experience; prior PR firm account experience required
  • Mastery of media relations, social/digital media marketing and influencer programs, to bring to the position’s mentoring/coaching role
  • Prior experience and track record in marketing communications for restaurants, food, nutrition; energy and utilities; and/or healthcare strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal communications skills, emotional intelligence, a positive attitude, high energy and a strong work ethic

Public Relations Internship

Linhart PR offers a full-time (40 hours a week), six month paid internship program to provide post-graduates with hands-on, real world experience while introducing them to the world of agency public relations. Interns play an integral role at Linhart PR, typically serving on multiple account teams and handling a variety of important client and firm responsibilities. We have a great track record of hiring our interns, based on performance, results and business needs, after the six month internship. A description of our ideal candidate is below; experience in some program responsibilities is a plus.

Linhart PR is currently looking for an intern to join our team, supporting clients in a variety of industries, including energy and utilities, multi-unit restaurants, premium food and beverage, and more. Experience or interest in these industries also is a bonus.

Internship program responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Media relations (e.g. email and phone media pitching, and media list and pitch development for various clients; blogger/influencer list development)
  • Research, including monitoring, tracking and sharing industry trends and client news; gathering background info for new business and client pitch opportunities
  • Writing (e.g., media materials, messages, internal correspondence, blogs)
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of PR programs, special events and/or community outreach programs
  • Measuring and reporting results, including using available measurement tools and processes
  • Supporting digital media campaigns and developing social channel content
  • Participating in brainstorms and program development sessions, as appropriate
  • Playing an active role on client teams to learn about group dynamics, time management, project management, and the overall workings of a PR account
  • Participating in team building and professional development activities, as appropriate
